Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering now K L University is an engineering college located in the Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, India. The college is on a 18 hectares site near the Buckingham Canal, about 8 km from Vijayawada in Guntur District. Once affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, the college was granted autonomy in 2006. It became a Deemed University in May 2008, and is now known as Koneru Lakshmaiah University. The college is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. The college is certified by ISO 9001 – 2000.
Departments

The College started with four conventional disciplines in 1980. It now offers nine programmes in the undergraduate courses and five programmes in post-graduate courses {M.Sc Computer Science, MCA and M Tech}. KLC is the first engineering college in Andhra Pradesh to start an Industrial & Production Engineering branch in undergraduate courses and having NBA accreditation for Biotechnology. It has a total plinth area of 38045 m². The college has three computer centers catering to the computing needs of the students and staff.
